Project AWARE is a registered nonprofit organization working with volunteer scuba divers. Its currently stated focus is on two issues: “sharks in peril” and marine debris, and it is active in 180 countries   One of these countries being Costa Rica.

Here at Rich Coast Diving we support Project Aware by donating $10 for every student we certify.  This makes us a 100% Aware partner.  We teach Shark Specialties to let people know about the problems these magnificent creatures face.

After a successful program by raising money for mission Tiburon ( a local Shark protection program) we decided this year it si Project Aware’s turn to receive some more support from us here in Costa Rica, also because there is a lot of shark finning going on this side of the world.

Wednesday June 15th will be the day!  We will teach Shark specialties at a reduced price and in the evening we will have a big benefit night at Zi lounge.  How can you help?

First of all: Please attend on the 15thimage2

  • buy raffle tickets ($10 or 5 for $40)
  • buy a T-shirt $20 (100% donation)
  • Sponsor the event by donating raffle prices or cash money

During the evening Carlos Hiller will be performing and music will be supplied by Yerba Buena and Ronnie King

Raffle prizes are still coming in but so far the community has been generous and we have Italian ice-cream, various restaurants have donated a dinner, there are snorkel / sunset trips, fishing trips, dive gear, a recreational PADI dive course, canopy and even over night stays at various hotels.  Don’t miss out and buy you raffle ticket and T-shirt today at Rich Coast Diving.100AWARE1-600x441
