Kick Off IDC November 2017!

It has begun, the 2017 November IDC! The last IDC for this year! We have 6 new Divemaster who are hopeful of becoming Instructors and will be tested through this 9-12 day of Tests, Recaps, and Lessons. We have already met 4 of our IDC Participants who are Johnny from the UK, Caroline from Denmark and JP & Caroline from Chile. Thus leaving us with a very diverse group of future Instructors. We look forward to having a memorable IDC!

Who leads

The IDC’s are lead by our Platinum PADI certified course director, Martin van Gestel, who is also the owner of Rich Coast Diving. Rich Coast is a 5* CDC Center and holds itself to a high standard when it comes to bringing professionals into the diving world. Those who think the IDC is a walk in the park need to understand that it is far from that and correct training and professionalism will be emphasized throughout the entire program. He will look to create a fun and professional learning environment to highlight the importance of learning as a student and to watch you develop into an instructor.

How it will work.

The IDC is focused on teaching the Divemasters how they can be prepared to teach Open Water and Advanced diving to people, to educate them professionally and to understand all standards and liabilities as an instructor. There will be a lot of studying required as theoretical tests do make up a big part of this IDC. Following this, there will be an IE (Instructor Examination) which you will also need to complete.

If all that works out you should become an Instructor! Rich Coast prides itself on producing professional, capable and highly effective Scuba Instructors and is confident with what we have seen from this group. Another group of divers is ready to jump into the world of instructors. Pura Vida!
